Hood Fire Suppression Systems

Commercial and industrial kitchens require fire suppression systems. Most models will have multiple elements, including fans and ductwork. Different kitchen areas require different kinds of hoods. Though separate from a sprinkler fire suppression system, a kitchen exhaust hood system must work in harmoniously. AFS offers the products and know-how to create an extremely safe kitchen.

Don’t worry about fires in your kitchen with our wet chemical fire suppression systems. Wet chemical systems work to douse fires as quickly as they sparked. As the liquid spray hits a burning surface, a spontaneous chemical reaction between the spray and the fats and oil at the base of the fire quickly produces a foam that cools the surface, preventing re-ignition and trapping the fire in place where it can be extinguished. Although more difficult to install than dry chemical systems, they provide much better coverage and will prevent any major fire damage to your kitchen or business. In addition to installation, as with our other services we offer inspection and upgrade services to ensure your previously installed and aging fire suppression systems are up to the latest codes and specifications of your local health department.

Fire Suppression: Tailored to your property, equipment and budget, our custom fire suppression systems are the first and last line of defense against a sudden fire in your commercial kitchen.

Fire Suppression Systems:

After all components are installed for the exhaust hood, we can install a fire suppression system suited to your equipment needs.
Kitchen Inspection: AFS is also a certified kitchen equipment inspector.

  • Why you want a certified kitchen equipment inspector?
  • Our Advantage is getting them both built and cleaned, because we understand the whole system.
  • For example: Why you want us to do both maintain and build your hood installation. Hire AFS because we understand how to build the system.

Commercial kitchen exhaust hoods are important, but often the most underappreciated part of your restaurant and the ventilation system that it funnels into. Our exhaust hoods are equipped with high-powered fans that remove odors and improve the indoor air quality in your kitchen while maintaining the air quality of the areas outside the kitchen. Without our fans, odor and humidity will linger unnecessarily in your kitchen. Humidity can cause mold, mildew and bacteria growth, which can result in major health code violations, while the odors can spill out of the kitchen into the rest of the building and negatively affect the experience of everyone in the area.

In addition to installation, as with our other services we offer inspection and upgrade services to ensure your previously installed and aging fire suppression systems are up to the latest codes and specifications of your local health department. We look forward to servicing all of your kitchen needs.
